Welcome to the MOOC Empowering teachers as digital lifelong learners in school

On this page

As teachers, we often find ourselves overwhelmed by the fast-paced digital world and its impacts in our schools. New tools and technologies emerge daily, making it challenging to stay updated and to know how to make effective use of these technologies in our role as a teacher. You’re not alone in feeling uncertain about how to navigate this landscape!

That’s where the ContinueUP MOOC “Empowering teachers as digital lifelong learners in school” comes in! This course is designed to empower you as a digital lifelong learner, helping you build confidence in using technology to enhance your professional practices as a teacher. In this course we’ll guide you through the essentials of using digital technologies for lifelong learning and shaping your school.

The course learning outcomes reflect a B1 level proficiency in digital competence as defined by the European Digital Competence Framework for Educators and the SELFIEforTEACHERS tool.

Join us and connect with fellow educators who are just as eager to innovate and grow, and discover how you can transform your work and professional learning with the help of technology.

You can follow the course at your own pace. We will open one module at the beginning of each week, and there is only a single deadline you need to pay attention to (the one for the final activity).

Join us in the Facebook group or share your thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) using the hashtag #ContinueUPMOOC.

After completing the MOOC, you will be able to

  • shape your school as a learning community with the help of digital technologies,

Behind the course

This MOOC was created as part of the  ContinueUP project. ContinueUP is a European project that addresses the question how more, and more effective education and training can be made available to teachers across the continuum of initial teacher education and continuous teacher training. The aim is to ensure that the experience of professional learning for teachers is more coherent and connected across the different stages of their career. One of the ways it achieves this, is by developing and piloting an education and training programme co-constructed by initial teacher education and continuous teacher professional development providers.

The MOOC was designed and developed by a group of partners coming from teacher training organisations who work with teachers already working in schools but also universities who work with student teachers:

ContinueUP is an  Erasmus+Teacher Academies project funded by the European Union. For more information about the project visit the website here
