About our experts:

Liisa Ilomäki, Ed.D., university researcher - works as a university researcher in the Technology in Education Research Group at the University of Helsinki. Her research focus is in learning and teaching with digital technology, innovations and changes within school and teaching communities. Recently she has also investigated general competencies, such as digital competencies and knowledge work competencies in education. Liisa Ilomäki has authored or co-authored several research articles and has been an editor of books concerning educational technology. Since 1998, she has been involved in European or national projects as a co-ordinator, principal investigator or a member. Currently she is involved in iHub4Schools project. In addition, she has been a teacher trainer and a lecturer throughout her career

Minna Lakkala, Ph.D., researcher - currently works as a university researcher in the Technology in Education Research Group at the University of Helsinki. Her main research interests are in knowledge creation pedagogy, competence learning and educators’ expertise in technology-enhanced teaching in all educational levels. Her background is in general psychology and computer science with an extensive experience of consultation and teacher training in the educational use of ICT for over 30 years. She has published several articles, book chapters and reports and participated in large research and development projects nationally and internationally concerning the educational use of technology. She is currently involved in the iHub4Schools project.
