A TeachMeet is an informal way of sharing ideas, good practices, lesson plans, etc. It is also a great way to network with other teachers and educators! Save the date for the TeachMeet on 5 October in which you will get to exchange with your peers. We will share best practices and great ideas for your Learning Scenario. In the end of this TeachMeet, you will also have the chance to ask questions to the speakers.

Ozgu Ozturk
Ozgu Ozturk is an English teacher in Istanbul, Turkey. She graduated from Gazi University, ELT Department in 2004 and got her MA degree in ELT in 2021. She’s a certified STEM trainer and also a Dyslexia trainer. She is one of the Scientix ambassadors of Turkey. She is well-experienced in Scientix, eTwinning and Erasmus+ projects. One of her projects, which is called ‘STEM 'E' FOR ENGLISH ' was selected as a winner of 2018 STEM Discovery Week Campaign and presented in three STEM related international conferences. She designs learning scenarios for Scientix and Europeana. She conducts the Science Fair projects for The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey and Regional Coding Festivals in Istanbul. She is one of the European Climate Pact Ambassadors of Europe and one of the Turkish delegates on Transatlantic Educators Dialogue by European Union Center and Illinois University at Urbana- Champaign. She writes blog posts for some international ELT magazines and for the TeachingEnglish blog by the British Council.

Valentino Catricalà
Valentino Catricalà (PhD) is a scholar and contemporary art curator specialised in the analysis of the relationship of artists with new technologies and media. Currently he is the curator of the SODA Gallery in Manchester and a lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is also the director of the Art Section of the Maker Faire – The European Edition, the biggest Faire on creativity and innovation in Europe, and Art Consultant at Paris Sony CS Lab. Valentino started to investigate the relationship between art, innovation, science and technology when he founded, as the artistic director, the Rome Media Art Festival which took place at MAXXI Museum in Rome, and was promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
Valentino received his PhD at the Roma Tre University and was PhD visiting lecturer in many important centres such as the ZKM (Karlsruhe), Tate Modern (London), University of Dundee (Dundee), LIMA (Amsterdam), where he had the opportunity to develop his research and interests.

This is an optional section of the course, but it is a unique opportunity to discuss the importance of STEM “live” with fellow course participants and your course coordinators. You can also use this opportunity to ask any organisational questions about the course.
Connection detailsThese events will take place via Microsoft Teams Webinar. You can join a Microsoft Teams Webinar by using an invite link which will be shared with you before the event. You can then launch or download the Teams app, or simply join using your web browser (no download required). The easiest way is to join anonymously (no account or sign in required).
