Working in a private school allows her the flexibility to go beyond the standard curriculum, and she considers herself a "project-based" educator, often integrating multiple subjects like mathematics, biology, and science. A strong advocate for climate education, she believes that teaching children about climate change is one of the most critical responsibilities of today’s educators. Katarzyna is the author of the Carbon Act Learning Scenario, "Use Your Imagination". Her talk will explore the psychological aspects of climate education, focusing on how to discuss climate challenges with students in a way that reduces anxiety and empowers them to take action.

Henrik Krantz

Henrik Krantz serves as a development leader at the Department of Education for the Gothenburg Region in Sweden. In his role, he focuses on pedagogical development, the creation of learning resources, and spearheading school innovation projects. With a background as an art and media teacher, Henrik places a strong emphasis on creativity and innovative learning techniques, including game-based learning, gamification, STEM, and most recently, the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in education. Henrik’s presentation, titled "Scenario-Based and Interdisciplinary Learning in Teaching About Climate Change: Benefits and Challenges," will highlight the advantages of this approach, such as increased student engagement, critical thinking, and collaboration, while also addressing the challenges, such as time-consuming planning and assessment. He will use examples from Carbon Act Learning Scenarios to illustrate his points.
