This MOOC is relevant to primary school teachers (ages 5-11) of all levels of experience who are interested in learning how to go from teaching isolated Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics classes, to a real integrated STEM teaching of these topics, not only among themselves but with all other disciplines. This MOOC will examine the opportunities offered by integrated STEM teaching and will provide many practical examples.

Certification
To earn a course certificate, course participants need to pass all the quizzes, submit a learning scenario they have worked on by themselves or with their teams and review 3 learning scenarios by other course participants. The final deadline to complete all activities is 01 December 2021, 23:59 CET. In order to receive the certificate, the participation in the quizzes will count for 15%, and the learning scenario together with the peer reviews will count for 85%. The overall passing grade is 95%.
Participants who completed the ‘STEM is Everywhere’ MOOC (2018 or 2020 edition) and complete one of the ‘Integrated STEM Teaching’ MOOCs rerun (edition 2021) will be eligible for the special certificate.

Course Staff
Eleni Myrtsioti (Literature and communications / Project Coordination) is a Project Coordinator in the Science Education Department of European Schoolnet (EUN). Eleni is involved in STE(A)M IT and the Three Rs projects where she coordinates the work by teachers and the online courses.
(International Education & Policy / Coordination and Pedagogy) Jelena works as a Project Coordinator in the FCL-SEG Department of European Schoolnet (EUN). She is the coordinator of the European Schoolnet Academy. Since joining European Schoolnet in 2018, Jelena worked as a web editor and MOOC creator for numerous projects, such as Scientix, TIWI, NBS, STE(A)M IT.
Ana Cristina Louro (Teacher/Teacher Trainer/Project Manager) works with pupils of all ages promoting a challenging way of teaching and learning science/entrepreneurship/citizenship. Ana is a member of the EASE Executive Board and is involved in several European projects run by European Schoolnet (EUN) where she co-creates learning scenarios and coordinates their implementation in a school environment.
Evita Tasiopoulou - Project Manager
(Engineer / Management and Pedagogy) is a Project and Pedagogical Manager of Science projects in the Science Education Department of European Schoolnet.
Her main activities focus on the management of the content in European projects and the provision of pedagogical advice and support to the entire STEM Education Department while her interests focus on STEM education pedagogical trends and the development of curricula, not only European. She is involved in projects linked to School Pilot activities, Structural Reform Support Programmes (SRSP) and innovative pedagogical approaches. She is currently working on SRSP – Greece, SPSP Flanders (Teachers’ induction scheme), and STEAM IT projects.
Behind the Course
STE(A)M IT aims to develop and test the 1st Integrated STEM Education conceptual framework and introduce innovative STEM teaching in schools, through the contextualisation of STEM teaching and cooperation with industry, to provide real industrial experiences in STEM teaching in classrooms. STE(A)M IT will bring together Ministries of Education, industry partners, Regional Authorities and practitioners to work together for a common Integrated STE(A)M framework, that will impact Europe as a whole, and ensure its uptake to all countries interested.
Scientix, the community for science education in Europe, promotes and supports a Europe-wide collaboration among STEM teachers, education researchers, policymakers and other STEM education professionals.
